1998P-1DEO-002T                                      140°

DESCRIPTION: With only two letters showing the affects of design extension, one would not think to consider this a major trail die; however, it is also coupled with a reverse dual direction trail die making this a unique coin in its one sense. The two letters affected, the S and T of TRUST show multiple trail lines in an offset direction of 140 degrees. This die is coupled with 1998P-1DER-034T.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – trails on the SST of TRUST.

Reverse is MDS – 1998P-1DER- 034T. Small die dot is seen on the right side of column 4.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C“, obverse is LDS – die clash behind Lincoln’s neck.

Reverse is LDS – die clash in bay three and four.

NOTE: This die was found by Aisha Shahid

1998P-1DEO-003T                          190°, 330°

Reverse is MDS – an extra sixth column is seen making this a double die. A small die gouge is between the upper part of the N and T of CENT.

1998P-1DEO-006T                                030°

DESCRIPTION: At first glance, this die could easily be mistaken for die deterioration lines; however, since they follow the same direction, it is more than likely trail lines. These mushy trail lines can be seen from the top right corners of the letters in GOD WE TRUST and have an offset direction of 030 degrees. This die is very similar to the 1995P-1DEO-004T, even to the same offset direction.

Reverse is VLDS – this is a doubled die with an extra part 7th column on the left side of column 7.
