DESCRIPTION: Dual direction trails die. The first set of trail lines is seen on the tops of the letters of UNUM and has an offset direction of 300 degrees. The other set is from the word FIRST and can be seen from the bottom of the letters in that word. The offset direction for this set is 120 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted
Reverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen over the left side wing. Die damage is seen below the A in CAROLINA.

2002P(IN)-25DER-001T 150°
DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen in the date 1816, the stars, the word crossroads and the word UNUM. The offset direction is 150°.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C “, obverse is LDS – a die crack is seen along the bottom of Washington’s bust, entering into the field on the left side. Strong die deterioration flow lines are seen on either side of the T in QUARTER.
Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen on the left tire of the race car.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen on the lower left corners of the RIDA of FLORIDA. The offset direction is 270 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – Light N-S die scratches through the motto.
Reverse is MDS – Light NW-SE die scratches through FLORIDA.

This picture shows the relationship between the two sets of trails.
DESCRIPTION: An unusual die that has two sets of reciprocal bearing trail lines. The first set, which is the major set, has trails from the toe of King Kumehameha, the base of the statue, the 2 digit in the date and some of the letters in E PLURIBUS. The offset directions for this set are 090 degrees and 270 degrees. The other set, which is minor, is located on the designers initials and have directional offsets of 030 degrees and 210 degrees.
This is the first die of its kind.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is ELDS – a die gouge in the U
of QUARTER. A small die gouge underthe I of AMERICA.
Reverse is ELDS – none noted.

DESCRIPTION: A dual directional trail dies with reciprocal bearings. Light trail lines can be seen from the word HAWAII, 1959 and the tip of the spear. The offset directions are 090 and 270 degrees.

Reverse is MDS – three small die dots in front of King Kumehameha’s face.

DESCRIPTION: Very light trail lines are seen from the H in HAWAII and the 1959. The offset direction is 300 degrees.
