DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – large die crack with die chip in Lincoln’s hair. This die will probably not continue much longer.
Reverse is MDS, die cracks on top of columns 1 and 2. Die chip on column 3. An extra column 7 is seen on left side making this a doubled die.
NOTE: A doubled die with design extension. Found by Robert (Murph) Tingle of Indiana.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 200 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.
Reverse is MDS – die crack on the top of column 2. Die dot between the C and E of CENT. Die chip on the left side of the N in CENT.
NOTE: This die was found by Robert Tingle.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is LMDS – die crack extending from the W of WE into the hair then traveling west.
Reverse is LMDS – die crack from rim into the C of CENT.
NOTE: This die was found by Gene Nichols of Arkansas.

Reverse is MDS – die crack from the rim to the C in CENT.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed
Reverse is MDS – rim gouge above the E in STATES. Extra feet on Lincoln’s statue make this a minor doubled die.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Light to moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8. The offset direction is 180 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.
Reverse is MDS – die crack with die chip in column 1, extending into bay 1. Die chip mid way down column 11.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8, with emphasis on the left side.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die chip forming on the left side of the E in LIBERTY. Eventually, as the die ages, this may turn into a “BIE” (II-F-4 die variety).
Reverse is MDS – die chip with crack on the top of column 2. Die chip on the top of column 11.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension is seen entering the stylobate under columns 2 and 3. Moderate to strong step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8, with emphasis on the left side.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.
Reverse is MDS – die crack with die chip in column 1. Two small die cracks from the top of the left urn into column 3.

DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension into the stylobate under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The step deviation is comparatively strong under column 7 and reach down to over two-thirds of the stair length.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die dot under the 6 of the DATE.
Reverse is MDS – die crack from column 2 into the cornice.
NOTE: This die was found by Bob Piazza.
