DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, is seen under column 3. Step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8 with the deviation seen half way down the steps. Also seen are light trails from the tops of the letters E PLURIBUS UNUM. All trail lines have an offset direction of 350 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – none observed
Reverse is LDS – small die dots on the entire reverse that may be the result of a pitted die.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate to strong fluting line extension is seen under columns 2 and 3. Strong step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 190 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – Die scratches are seen under the chin and on the back of Lincoln’s neck.
Reverse is MDS – a die scratch is seen in the upper 10th memorial bay.
