DESCRIPTION: Faint trails can be seen on EPU and lightly off of the outer edge of IT of UNITED. The off-set direction is 030 degrees.

DIE MAKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – appears to be a minor DDO: TY shows light distortion and thickness; 20 shows very light extra thickness

Reverse is MDS – crack and die break on upper left shield edge; crack branches off SW toward the L in EPU.

DESCRIPTION: Light trails can be seen off of the inside corners of MERICA. The off-set direction is 170 degrees.

DIE MAKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – small gouge above S in TRUST; crack on forehead; crack through hair traveling NE toward 1st T in TRUST.

Reverse is LDS – small crack and die break on upper left shield edge.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the NIT of UNITED, the ES of STATES. the word OF, the AM of AMERICA, the right scroll end and the designer’s initials JFM. The offset direction is 030º.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – a small die gouge is seen next to the rim just under the left corner of Lincoln’s bust

Reverse is MDS – a die crack runs across the top left edge of the shield.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen on the letters of UNITED, the last S of STATES and the word OF. The offset direction is 350º.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – a small die crack is seen through the upper part of the D in GOD.

Reverse is MDS – a series of small, diagonal, parallel die scratches are seen in the field by the bottom right of the shield point.

Reverse is MDS – radial die scratches are seen around the designer’s initial JFM. THESE ARE INDICATED BY BLACK ARROWS.

DESCRIPTION: Dual trails can be seen on UNITED. The offset direction for the first set is 060 degrees and can be seen on NITE and the second set, 355 degrees, is faint and located on the upper part of UNI.
