DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from most of the top left corners of the letters on the left side of EPU. Also seen are faint trail lines on OF. The offset direction is 300 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – heavy die scratching, especially through LIBERTY is seen on the left side of the die.
Reverse is LDS – a heavy die scratch goes through the O over to the N of ONE. Another heavy die scratch starts at the C and ends at the E of CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Heavy to moderate step deviation is seen under columns 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 with strong fluting line extension into the stylobate under columns 10, 11 and 12. The offset direction is 170 degrees. The coins condition is detrimental in determining the exact extent of the deviation and fluting line extension. Hopefully, a better example will be found.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C” obverse is LDS – heavy, horizontal die scratching is seen around Lincoln’s bust.
Reverse is LDS – Heavy, horizontal die scratching is seen through the EPU and over ONE CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines can be seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 180°.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B “, obverse is LMDS – none noted.
Reverse is LMDS – heavy, horizontal die scratching is seen above the motto EPU and below the memorial building base. Heavy vertical die scratching is seen in the bays.

DESCRIPTION: This trail die has moderate trail lines seen from the bottom of columns 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 180°.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “A “, obverse is LDS – very heavy die scratching is seen through LIBERTY.
Reverse is EDS – two small die dots are seen below the left vertical of the T in CENT.

Description: Trail lines are seen from the tops of the letters in the motto EPU. Also seen are trail lines from the middle of the cornice. The offset direction is 010º.
Reverse is LDS – a small die gouge is seen just to the right of the 12th column. Another small die gouge is seen between the N and E of ONE next to the rim.
