Reverse is MDS – die crack from the bottom of the I in UNITED to the cornice tip. Die gouge in the field below the N of UNITED.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the styloabte under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation under columns 5 through 8, with an offset direction of 180 degrees and emphasis on the left side,
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – long die scratch from the B of LIBERTY towards the north. Long die scratch over LIBERTY. Die scratches under the DATE.
Reverse is LDS– Heavy die scratch from the E of ONE to the C of CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column 3. Moderate to light step deviation under columns 5, 6 and 7, with an offset direction of 190 degrees.
DIE MAKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die gouge above and to the right of VDB.
Reverse is MDS – die crack from left cornice tip, through the I of UNITED and into the rim. Small die gouge next to the last A in AMERICA.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines from the left tops of the letters in EPU. Light trail lines from the left top of columns 2 through 8. The offset direction is 330 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – heavy diagonal die scratches through the word LIBERTY.
Reverse is EDS – reverse die has been changed. Small die scratch to the left of the U in UNITED.

DESCRIPTION: The step deviation is faint, however, it extends almost to the last step under columns 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 160 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – old die gouge to the left of IN.
Reverse is LDS – small die gouge under the N of UNITED. Die crack from the left cornice corner, to the rim.
1990P-1DER-006T 160º
DESCRIPTION: Trails extending from the southwest corner of the termini in the letters N and T of CENT. Faint trails are seen on the designer’s initials. Cross over trail on the bottom of the E of CENT. Offset direction is 160 degrees. This die was found by Bill Slaughter of Arkansas.
DIE MARKERS: None observed.
1990P-1DER-007WS 180º
DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column # 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. This die was found by Steven Bingham of Missouri.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.
Reverse is MDS – small die dot on the left side of the N in ONE.
1990P-1DER-008T 310º
DESCRIPTION: Trails are seen from the left side of the EPU on the upper left corners of the letters. Trails are also seen on the first S and the first T in STATES. The offset direction is 310º.
Reverse is LDS – die dot on the upper left side of column 1. A series of small die gouges is seen in the upper part of bay 2.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation can be seen under columns 5, 6 and 7. There is a slight westerly shift to this die and the offset direction is 190 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – none noted.
Reverse is LDS – die crack from the left cornice tip, through the I of UNITED and onto the rim. Die crack from the right base tip to the rim.
NOTE: This die was found by Louis Schaeffer.
1990P-1DER-010T 040º
DESCRIPTION: Trail Lines are seen from the bottom right corners of the letters NTE in UNITED. Also seen are trail lines from the top right corners of the STATE of STATES and all the letters in EPU. There are also trail lines from the right corners of the stylobate and the right corner of the roof. All the trail lines have an offset direction of 040 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “D”, obverse is VLDS – a small die gouge is seen below the first 9 in the date.
Reverse is VLDS – a small die gouge is seen above the third corner level of the stylobate.
