DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate under columns 11, 12 and right corner. Very strong step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, with an offset direction of 200 degrees. Light step deviation is seen under the right post (urn).
This later die stage (Stage “C”) coin has serious plating concerns.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is VLDS – a ring of die gouge below the BE of LIBERTY. A small die gouge Is seen to the left of the DATE.
Reverse is MDS – none noted.
Stage “C”, obverse is LEDS – obverse die has been changed. Small triangular shaped die gouge is seen next to the rim.
Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen in the lower parts of bays 6, 7 and 8.
Note: Stage “C” was found by Billy Crawford.

Reverse is MDS – die chip on the left edge of the cornice. Die gouge in the O of ONE.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – long die scratch from Lincoln’s coat and angling northeast to above the DATE.
Reverse is LDS – small die gouge from the top of the roof under the NU of UNUM.

DESCRIPTION: Fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 11 and 12. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – odd crescent shaped die break on the lower part of the first 9 of the DATE.
Reverse is LDS – die deterioration flow lines on the bottom of the E, N and T of CENT. Notice how these lines are radial in direction and not parallel like trail lines.

DESCRIPTION: Slight letter distortion on the Ts of STATES. Letter distortion is seen on the EPU and the periods. Although this die does not have long trails, the direction can be estimated at 330 degrees. This die also is coupled with a obverse trail die, 1993P-1DEO-001. This die was found by Bob Piazza of Florida.
