Reverse is MDS – a small die gouge is seen to the right of the N in CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate trail lines are seen from the bottom of the 1 and all three 9 digits in the date. The offset direction is 260 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die scratches are prevalent around the face, back of head and behind the date. Die gouge between the G and O f of GOD and another near the left base of bust.
Reverse is MDS – SW-NE die scratches found behind the E of CENT

DESCRIPTION: This die shows trail lines that have been strengthened by die deterioration or metal flow. Notice that the lines from the tops of the letters in the motto IN GOD WE TRUST are in one direction, unlike metal flow lines which tend to be radial in direction. The offset direction is 000°.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C “, obverse is LDS – an elongated die gouge is seen above the T in LIBERTY.
Reverse is LDS – a die break is seen on the left side cornice edge. Another die break is seen in the top of column 2.
