DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting lines, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 200 degrees. This die also exhibits trails from T and A of STATES and the E of EPU.
This die is very similar to 2004P-1DER-018WST; however, this die has an offset direction of 200 degrees. This pattern has been repeated throughout the course of the single squeeze process, occurring in the years 1994, 1998, 1999 and now twice in 2004.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die crack on Lincoln’s forehead.
Reverse is MDS – die scratching above the statue of Lincoln in bay 6.

Reverse is MDS – light vertical die scratching in the right side bays.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines can be seen from both Us in PLURIBUS and UNUM from the top right of those letters. The offset direction is 030 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.
Reverse is MDS – die gouge over the left edge of the roof on the Memorial building. Two die gouges, on both sides of the right vertical of the letter N in CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Trails are seen from the tops of the middle column on their right side. The strength of the trails falls away on either side indicating that the die movement was isolated to only the center portion of the die and nowhere else. The offset direction is 000 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.
Reverse is MDS- curved die scratches by the left base tip. Die damage to the right of column twelve’s base.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines can be seen on parts of the motto, to the left of the roof and cornice, and on the EN of CENT. The offset direction is 270 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – two small die scratches in front of the mouth.
Reverse is MDS – Two small die gouges between the R and I of AMERICA. A very nice doubled die shows as a strong bar on column 7 and extra knees and legs.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen on the lower left corners of the PL in PLURIBUS and the N in UNUM. The offset direction is 200 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – two rim gouges next to the L of LIBERTY.
Reverse is MDS – none noted.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the left top corners of the letters in LIBERTY. There is one trail line from the last S in STATES. The offset direction is 350 degrees.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is LDS – a small die gouge is seen on the lower left corner of the D in GOD.
Reverse is MDS – two small die gouges are seen above the left corners of the stylobate. Another die gouge is seen between the O of one and the base line.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the letters in EPU on the ATES of STATES and the left corners of the roof and cornice. The offset direction is 330 degrees.

Reverse is MDS – two small die gouges are seen over the O in ONE.
